THE OLDEST PERSON I KNOW

The oldest person I still remember is my grandfather, although he already passed away long time ago. Every single human being can’t escape from death, we have some people who we love or hate; we don’t want to leave or we never want to see them again. However, how many people can stick in your memory when they are gone?

My grandfather was those kind of people who had over-loved kids and always pamper me, so he was the person who I mostly wanted to stay and love when I was a little kid. Back to that time, my best time in my entire life—no worries, no complicated thought, and no school—was the time that I was a kid. Had my grandparents to take care of me was the best thing I could ever imagine. He was tremendously unique for me-- from the memory of my childhood, he drank alcohol everyday. That was the reason why he left all of us in my family when he wasn’t that old. He had really dark skin, I guess it probably from the hard life by doing the hard work and farming. He wasn’t tall, just like a normal Chinese. They are the only features I could remember of my grandfather.

But there are still some events that are memorable or funny my grandfather had done. All those things were told by my parents, because I was too young to remember. The day I was born, my dad was staying with my mom. He told me that the incredible nervousness has caught on his mind, every man becomes a father is the most nervous time through their life. Although I never have this kind of experience. After I came to this world which was brand new for me, slowly pressing the numbers on my dad’s cell phone to call my grandparents to tell them the good news that I was born.  As my dad told my grandfather that he had a grandson, it brought all the tires from the bottom of his heart. Because it has a significant difference that whether it was a boy or girl by that time in China. That was one of the reasons why he loved me so much.

Also, I was not that kind of kids who completely listen to their parents’ order, so that I’ve made too many troubles which were even uncountable. But every single time that people criticized and educated me, my grandfather was the only person who stopped them and told me that it was ok, he would handle this for me. I don’t have that much memory from my grandfather, but I still remember his expression, his emotion that he wanted to protect me.

Right now, I’m sitting in front of my computer and trying to catch back those memories from him. There is a wired feeling came up from my mind, I don’t think about my grandfather a lot, and I don’t even miss him because it was too long ago which means the sadness was already erased by the long time. But the inexplicable feeling was that I’m touched by all the things that my grandfather had done to me. My tires came up in my eyes, just like my grandfather heard I was born.

PHYSICAL OR SEDENTARY

Everyone has different habit and personality, none of them is the same. But there is one way to classify all the people into two types——physical and sedentary. We can’t compare them which one is better than the other, however, I am absolutely a physical active person.

For myself, I don’t think sedentary is any worse than physical. Those people who are sedentary have more time to think and more attention to improve their study. I know people may say that a sedentary people are actually better, they are regarded as those knowledge hard working guys.

As I was growing in a family which full of “physical-ness”, I started doing exercise which encouraged by my parents. It was soccer, point out a way for me toward a physical kid. Recently, there is an increasing number of people who are playing soccer either in China or even all over the world. By the time I contacted with soccer, I realized myself that I was an energetic and athletic child. The first actual soccer game was in my elementary school, the game was ended up by we lost. Although I wasn’t that serious, but everyone in our team was upset. I could still remember the emotion after the game in the team, silence was flowing in the air. I remember my first improvement that I was satisfied about myself was that I’ve gave all the motivation to my teammates, I was thinking really hard about how they could be confident again. Finally, they backed to what they were used to look like and on the right track.

Also, another sport, which has impacted me most in my life, was basketball. All I need to do in the basketball game is enjoying. Basketball, a sport seems to be really stupid--- everyone in two teams is chasing and trying to steal it--- is actually a perfect way to improve us. It can not only exercise and exhaust your body in a simple way, but also can improve our skills such as team working, relying on each other or about the patience: we have to be patient in every single time we attack, passing the ball to wait till there is a good chance appears. Basketball itself has positively influenced me a lot.

Frankly, I’ve read the Brain Rule, and one of the rules is exercise, which let people to become energetic and prepared to every day’s work. So in order to do that, we should be at least a bit physical.
